"THE SHOW BOAT” IS OUTSTANDING TALKIE AT CRYSTAL PALACE.

Negro melodies, coon songs and catchy tunes of a more modern type, are heard in “The Show Boat,” which now is in its second week, giving the public further opportunities to hear and see this, one of the outstanding talkies productions of the year. Miss Laura La Plante takes a serious part, with plenty of drama in it, and takes it exceptionally well. Her voice is beautifully clear in conversation. In addition to this, she proves that she can sing much above the average. One of the features in the supports is provided by Mr Lloyd George and Miss Megan Lloyd George, who together, in a conversational tone, discuss very interestingly the position of political parties at Home.
