The rose show of the Canterbury Horticultural Society is to be held in the Art Gallery on Friday. Very large entries have been received, exhibitors tending roses in from the city, Cashmere, Diamond Harbour, Birdling’s Flat and other gardens. There will also be a fine display of pot plants, and the show promises to be one of the best ever held here.
