BERLIN SOCIETY BATHE IN NUDE
(United Press Assn. —By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) BERLIN, October 28. The cult of the nude has gained such proportions in Germany that a high-class club has been formed with headquarters at Welienbad, a famous swimming pool, where a moving wall at one end produces artificial surf. Between six and nine o’clock in the mornings the baths are closed to the public and open to members of the club, which consists of Berlin society men and women. There is at least one prince and several barons and baronnesses. They mingle with each other in the water and out of it with not the slightest embarrassment, and take refreshments at tables while clad in nothing but smiles. The club is merely one of many similar organisations in Berlin, the mem bers of which regard themselves as serious devotees of the health and nature cult. The club is registered with the police, who have no occasion to interfere.
