The bookings at the “Chateau,” Tongariro National Park, were heavy during the past week-end. The accommodation at the “Chateau” was fully taxed, the overflow of guests being quartered in the lodges. The weather was fine, and the climbing conditions were good. Parties of visitors were out in every direction, and a delightful week-end was spent. The roads leading to the “ChatA man in a jaded suit called in at one of the principal city 'banks the other day, and the clerk looked on him as anything but “ a good mark.” A couple of days later he called in, and he could have got an overdraft quite easily! In the meantime he had had his suit cleaned and pressed by the Canterbury Dry Cleaning Co., 140, Worcester Street. He left it at the company’s depot, 168, Armagh Street.
