WELLINGTON SALVATION ARMY BAND GIVES CONCERT IN CITY.

Yesterday afternoon the Wellington Salvation Army Silver Band played an excellently arranged programme in Victoria Square. There was a large gathering of the public, who were delighted with the playing of the band. The principal items of an admirable selection were:—March, “Sons of the Army”; selection, “Love’s Manifestations”: cornet solo. Bandsman IT. Dutton, “Glory to His Name.” Several other selections and solos were given, and the programme concluded with a march. In the evening the usual Sunday night meeting was held in the Citadel. A special address, “Beauty of Christ.” was given by Ensign S. Bridge. The Wellington Citadel Male Choir sang, and solos and selections were given by the band.
