The Southland Rugby Football Union have obtained the authority of the Minister of Internal Affairs for the extension of their art -union, which now closes on Monday, November 11. The Southland Union are at present the holders of the Ranfurly Shield, and the object of the art union is to provide funds for their sports ground in Southland. Tickets (Is each) are on sale throughout the city and suburbs, or direct from Mr C. W. Hervey, supervisor for Canterbury. 6
