On Monday, Labour Day, a big picnic and sports gathering will be held at the Addington trotting ground, com- i mencing at 10.30. There will be numerous attractions, children being specially catered for. Patrons are requested to take the No. 7 tram; if there is a big rush special trams will be run to the grounds. HALSWELL DANCE. On Monday next a special Labour Day dance will be held at the Halswell Hall by Mr Reg Stillwell’s Danr-e Assembly. A bus will leave Everybody’s Picture Theatre at 7.50 pun., returning to the Square after the dance at 1 a.m.
