RACING NOTES. The North Canterbury Racing Club's 1 meeting will be held at Rangiora on Monday, and it will appeal strongly to a large holiday crowd from Christchurch. Good fields give an assurance cf interesting sport. * * * * There will be two special passenger trains from Christchurch on Monday, in connection with the North Canterbury Racing Club’s meeting. The first will leave at 9.30 a.m. and the second at 9.40 a.m. The return train will leave Rangiora at 5.50 p.m. * * * * . Count Cavour has more than once shown a partiality for the Rangiora course, and his form there on Monday will be followed with some interest. He is improving rapidly and may be expected to race prominently, not only in the Rangiora Cup, but also in important events later on. * * * Amor is a very fit horse at present, his racing in Auckland having benefited him, and he should be hard to beat in the Rangiora Cup. sje sie Sea Raid has shown useful form in hack company and her running in the Rangiora Cup will give a line to her prospects in open class. e * * * Malmsey is in good fettle at present and she will have plenty of admirers at Rangiora. A shower of rain would benefit her prospects. * * * * Great Star was not raced at any of the early spring meetings, but he has been shaping well in his track work. He is a brilliant galloper who may be an early winner. ♦ * * ♦ Te Awhina has not raced for about eighteen months and she* may be at a disadvantage at Rangiora on that account, but her track form suggests that she will be a winner very soon. * * * 4s Haulage showed fair form at Kurow and she may do even better among the maidens at Rangiora. * * * * Kindling gave evidence of speed when raced at Ashburton last month, may now be ready to go on a bit further, in which case he should be seen to advantage in the Trial Plate at Rangiora. * * * * Topere has two engagements at Rangiora and may run well in whichever event he contests. He ran out a solid mile at the Dunedin meeting and he should be at home in the HighWeight Handicap, over the same distance. sfc * sfc Pangolin raced very generously when he won over hurdles at Geraldine. He will be seen on the flat at Rangioia and he may be seen to advantage, as he will have the advantage of a strong horseman. * 4> * * Celerity 11. is. in a class by herself in the Gore Cup field. She is giving away a lot of weight, but that will not prevent her admirers from supporting her with confidence.

The Harcourt Cup will be the principal attraction at Trentham on Monday. There is a good field and the race will arouse a lot of interest. In the first place, it will serve to show how Silver Paper ranks over a mile and a quarter. He has demonstrated that he can run a good mile, and he should go further this season, though possibly he will be better over the longer journey later on. Star Stranger can be relied on for a good performance. Then there are the three yearolds, headed bv Eaglet and Pink Coat, who will fight their Great Northern Guineas battle over again.

The American National Jockey Club has alreadv outlined for its thirty-day meeting at Arlington Park, beginning on July 1. 1930, an ambitious programme. which provides for 600,000 dollars (£120.000) in stakes and purses. This means an addition of 200.000 dollars to the money distributed this vear. The offering of this huge sum is unparalleled in American and European turf history, and is in line with the club’s non-profit plan of operation, says the “ Thoroughbred Record.” Racing secretary Joseph M’Lennan has been authorised by the directorate to make the proposed substantial increase in the racing programme, and is now preparing the conditions of the stakes, which will be distributed among the horsemen shortly. These stakes, notably the Classic and Arlington Handicap. which this summer carried respectively an endowment of 60,000 and 20.000 dollars, will receive an additional endowment that will make them outstanding events. The classic will be the most valuable of the three-year-old specials in the world, while the Arlington Handicap will be of a value that will place it in the front rank of the country’s stakes for three-year-olds and over. It is estimated that the added money to the Arlington Stakes will total over 300,000 dollars (£60,000), which amount is far in excess of that offered at Belmont or Saratoga, or on any racecourse in Europe during a similar period.

TROTTING NOTES. The Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting will be held on Monday, when the Greymouth and Auckland meetings will be concluded. He He He * In connection with the Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting, on Monday, a special train will leave Christchurch at 7.6 a.m. It will start on the return journey at 7.15 p.m. and is due in Christchurch at 12.42 a.m. on Tuesday. * * * * The four-year-old pacer by Nelson Bingen—Queen May, who -was worked for some time at Addington, is now being trained by H. W. Aker on his private track at New Brighton. The three-year-old brother is still doing steady work at Addington, under the care of L. Cavalier, who has also just broken in and is working a two-year-old bred the same way. * 4: * m The four-year-old sister to Bramdean met with an accident some time ago, through getting caught in a wire fence, but she is making a good recovery and is doing steady work at Addington. She is a promising young trotter. * * * *

Cushla de Oro is on 3min 36sec in the Trial Handicap at Oamaru, being 48yds behind, which is the back mark in a 3min 40sec class. She is also on the limit in the Redcastle Handicap, which is run over the same distance and is a 3min 33sec class, so that she is oxi a three seconds better mark in the slower class race. The Rey de Oro pacer, however, may have a better chance in the faster race, as she will be meeting more improving horses in the Trial Handicap. * * * He

The trotter Rustle finished second to Gemlight in the Longbeach Handicap at the Ashburton Trotting Club’s meeting last June. It was a very fast race and Rustle went 3min 33 3-ssec. In the Trial Handicap at Oamaru, Rustle is 36yds behind in a 3min 42sec class. The track, when Rustle put up his best time, was very fast, and he may not have so much advantage as his handicap indicates.

Sonoma Star is a good saddle pacer, and if he goes away right he may put up a creditable performance at Oamaru in the Pukeuru Handicap, of a mile and a quarter.

If Pluto is in the form that he showed at th© August meeting at Addington he should show up prominently in his races at Oamaru, but his latest efforts have not been reassuring.

Bismurate has been racing a long time in the Dominion and he was not a young horse when he came here from Australia. He is a brilliant beginner and best in saddle events over short courses. He is on 12yds in the mile saddle event at Oamaru, handicapped at 2min 16sec. In his best form he would keep the opposition very busy.

If somebody was big enough to take two of the three associations seeking to govern harness racing and toss them permanently into the ash-can, or, better yet, able to discard all three and give the sport one national, all-powerful controlling body, the trotters and pacers might get somewhere (says an American writer). E. Roland Harriman president of the Trotting Club of America, has emerged 1 as the biggest man the game has enjoyed for years, but even he is finding it a hopeless task reconciling the differences of the National, the American- and the Harness Horse Associations. Each has different eligibility rules—what is a fast class in one jurisdiction may be a slow class in another—and the hopeless task is given every racing secretary of deciding for himself to what race various horses are eligible.

TROTTING OWNERS AND TRAINERS. NORTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION. At the monthly meeting of the committee of the North Island Trotting Owners’ and Trainers’ Association, the president, Mr T. Leadbetter,’ 1 presided. Pleasure was expressed that he had recovered from his recent indisposition. It was reported that the Nelson Trotting Club had decided not to hold a trotting meeting this year, and contemplated arcing to be relieved of its permit. After a full discussion, was decided to request the club to reconsider its decision, as the abandoning of the meeting would not be in the interest of trotting and would materially affect several North Island owners and trainers. In the event of the meeting being held, members of the association would be requested to support and assist the club to make the meeting a success. The question of approaching the Railway Department for concessions was held over for further consideration at the next meeting. It was decided to w’rite to the South Wairarapa Trotting Club expressing appreciation of its action in not reducing the stakes for the coming year, notwithstanding that the last meeting resulted in a loss owing to adverse circumstances. It was decided to accord all assistance possible. The frequency with which accidents occur during races on courses not provided with solid crossings for horses passing over the course on to the training track was discussed. It was pointed out that these crossings were a real danger, more especially in wet weather, owing to horses leaving their feet when running into the soft mud. With a view'-to minimising this danger, it was decided to write to the clubs concerned to request them to provide cinder crossings, which could be covered with cut grass on race days.

OAMARU TROTS HAVE BIG FIELDS,

A POPULAR FIXTURE FOR LABOUR DAY.

The meetings of the Oamaru Trotting Club are always popular. The district is a strong one for the sport, and the good train arrangements enable patrons from Dunedin, Timaru and Christchurch to attend the fixture and return the same day. Although there is a good deal of racing on Labour Day, the Oamaru Club is always well supported by owners, and for this meeting there are good fields in all the races, while some high-class performers are engaged. The good stakes attract some of the best horses, and four Cup candidates, Roi l'Or, Author Jinks, Ter* ence Dillon and Quality, are acceptors. The club seems assured of a good meeting, and there should be some capital racing. . _. The following is the programme:

There is a better class of trotter engaged in the mile and a half event than usual, and it can be expected that a good race will result. It looks, however, as though those near the front will have the race to themselves. Ambition and King Oscar, who were placed at the club’s May meeting, are again engaged, and Ambition seems likely to beat King Oscar this time. Scuttle has been backed on recent occasions, and she raced well at New Brighton after a bad start. Bon Boy showed a lot of speed at Methven once he settled to his work, and Wah is improving, but will probably require some more race experience. Great Nelson, who is a brother to Great Bingen and Peter Bingen, is trained on the course and is one of the improving sort. The winner may come from Bon Boy, Ambition and Great Nelson, but it should be a fine race. TRIAL HANDICAP (in harness), of 155 sovs. Class 3.40. One mil© and a half.

This is certain to be a fast race, and although it is a 3min 40sec class, the winner will require to go considerably faster off the limit. Free Pointer is reported to be more than useful, and Frances de Oro has a lot of speed. John Appear is a fast young pacer, capable of a lot of improvement. On the time test Cushla de Oro has an excellent chance, although she is on the back mark. She may race better from the back than off the other end, and fight out the finish with John Appear and Free Pointer.

There is a high-grade field in the chief event. Lindbergh, fresh from his northern victory, will probably be favourite, but the Belfast-trained paCer will be kept busy. Lingfield does not seem to be in her best form at present, but Huon Denver will not be troubled by the distance. Orphan has not been racing well, but his stable companion. Glenelg, showed a glimpse of his best form in his recent efforts. Jolly Pet, although now considerably improved in manners at the post, will find the opposition very solid. Lindbergh and Glenelg look the best of the front markers. The trotter Trampfast is with Travis Axworthy and Dalmeny on 12yds, and Travis Axworthy will probably prove the best of the trio, unless the going be heavy, when Dalmeny, who is fast coming to his best, will run well. Pluto did not show up in his latest efforts, but he is well handicapped on the time test. Harvest Child, who will be a starter, is honest and reliable. It is very doubtful if the Cup trio, Author Jinks, Terence Dillon and Quality, can give away the starts to those in front, who are likely to show more improvement than the back markers. Lindbergh, Travis Axworthy, Glenelg and Harvest Child may finish in that order.

The last-named finished very fast at New Brighton, and the pair will be a troublesome couple to beat. All Peters is a good stayer, but Repute raced badly in her last effort. Writer

and Admiral Bingen should have the race to themselves at the finish.

There is a high-class field in the fast mile and a quarter event, which should be one of the best races of the day. Exclusive and Great Logan look best of the limit division. There is a strong contingent on 12yds, where Glenelg, Pluto, Travis Axworthy and Logan Hanlon are placed. St Maura, on 24yds, raced well in her last attempt, and Dalmeny is master of the distance. The Cup candidate, Roi l’Or, is not out of it on 36yds, as he is very brilliant, especially if he makes one of his lightning beginnings. Travis Axworthy, if unsuccessful in the two-mile event, Great Logan, St Maura and Roi l’Or should show up best. REDCASTLE HANDICAP (In harness), of 185 sovs. Class 3.33. One mile and a half. Willie Wilkes scr Sonoma Star 12 Cushla d*Or scr Maurice Dillon 12 Sandy Pointer ecr John Jinks 24 Black Wattle 12 Nelson de Oro 48 Chimer 12 This race has not a large field, nor does the class appear to be particularly strong, and several of those engaged are in earlier races. Cushla de Oro is on 3min 36sec in the Trial Handicap, and on the limit in this event which is 3min 33sec. Her chance, however, is not to be discounted, as she has gone considerably faster. Willie Wilkes will see out the distance, and so will Chimer. Maurice Dillon is reported to be training on well, and the three-year-old John Jinks, who won the two-year-old classic, is in the field on 24yds. Nelson de Oro can go the distance, so that although the field is not a large one, it may be one of the best races on the programme. Cushla de Oro, Maurice Dillon and John Jinks may finish in that order. DASH HANDICAP (In saddle), of 225 sovs. Class 2.17. One mile. Sylvie Logan ecr Lady Matchlight 24 Rita M’KLinney scr Hector’s Own 24 White Sun scr Great Triumph 24 Kate Thorpe scr Marvin Mac 24 Bing Boy 12 Pearl Logan 24 Blsmurate 12 Logan Hanlon 60 Return Voyage 12 There is quite a good class field in the mile saddle event, which will conculde the day’s racing. White Sun was made favourite at New Brighton, but raced badly, but off the limit he may do better. Return Voyage is a brilliant young pacer, who should race well, and Lady Matchlight and Great Triumph have plenty of speed. Pearl Logan has been racing well of late, and Marvin Mac is partial to the distance. It should be a fine race, with Return Voyage, W’hite Sun and Great Triumph in the places.

GORE RACING CLUB HAS GOOD PROSPECTS. MONDAY’S FIELDS ARE LARGER THAN USUAL. The Gore Racing Club’s spring meeting will be commenced on Monday. The fields are much larger than usual, and the racing will arouse a lot of interest with a prospect of some surprises, as a number of fresh horses will be racing against others who have been performing with credit at earlier meetings. . . , The following is the programme:—

Beauty Light and Antrim Boy have met several times this season, and they should have another interesting contest. The field includes Nincompoop, who will be having his first race over hurdles. He is credited with being a smart novice.

Glenrowan can be relied on to mn well, likewise Town Major, who did not realise expectations on the second day of the Dunedin meeting. Sailing Home is worth notice, but a mile would suit him even better than seven furlongs, as he is not a good beginner. Among those further down Some Toff appeals most, but probably Glenrowan and Sailing Home will be best backed. MAT AURA TROT HANDICAP, of 145 bovs. One mile and five furlongs.

More than half the competitors are on the limit. Lady Zita is a likely sort, while of those further back Streak may run well. GORE CUP, of 250 sovs. One mile and a quarter.

Celerity 11. won at Wingatui, and she should be benefited by the race, while the figures are in her favour, so she may be a hot favourite. Tembroney is a recruit from the hack ranks, and he may race well under a light weight. trial Handicap, of 140 sovs. six furlongs.

In a big field, which includes many unknowns. Aranoah and Positive are a pair of smart gallopers. FLYING HACK HANDICAP, of 140

El Boa has been racing consistently, and may go well here, while Top Speed is another with recent form. They will, however, meet strong opposition from the three-year-olds Inevitable and Jock o’ Hazeldean, who may have the finish to themselves. LABOUR DAY TROT HANDICAP. ot 140 sovs. One mile anti five furlongs.

recommended as a speedy customer, while Doncliff is a good pacer, though unsound. MURIHIKU HANDICAP, of 150 sovs. Eight furlongs and a half.

Royal Saxon is very well, and the journey should just suit him. Membo is in at a light weight, and he may give the top-weight most trouble.

POPULAR LABOUR DAY FIXTURE AT RANGIORA

MONDAY S MEETINGS AT VARIOUS PARTS FULLY REVIEWED. (BY MARTIAN.) Racing will continue at Trentham on Monday, when the North*Canterbury, Gore, Waverley, Waipawa Racing Clubs, and the Waikato Hunt Club will hold their meetings. Most interest locally, apart from the big meeting at Trentham, will be centred on the meeting at Rangiora, where good fields are the order of the day and spirited racing should be seen. At Rangiora. The High-weight Handicap will open proceedings, and Pangolin’s recent form entitles him to the position of favourite. He won well over hurdles at Geraldine and should have too much pace for most of the others. F. P. Claridge has Fresh Breeze and Page Boy engaged, and recent form points to the former going the better race. Topere, with 9.5, has only to race as well as he did at Dunedin when Sailing Home just beat him to be in the money. He and Pangolin "should be handy at the finish. Tane will be a popular fancy in the Trial Plate, but his form has not been brilliant. Pahautanui was fourth at Ashburton in the race won by Meprisant and may bob up. Recent form, however, points strongly to Haulage having: a say in the finish. She ran a good third to El Boa and Jock o’ Hazeldean at Kurow, and she should be a lot better now. Haulage and Pahautanui may pay the dividends. Count Cavour has come on quickly in his preparation and his form in the Rangiora Cup will be followed very closely. The stable has a strong second “leg” in Amor to rely on and probably

he will he the more fancied. The Archery gelding’s third- in the Mitchelson Cup was a fine effort, and the two furlongs less here will be all to his liking.' Form points undoubtedly to his chance. Malmsey is working well and on a heavy track her prospects would be improved. Sea Raid won so well at Ashburton that she cannot be overlooked. Chickwheat has great possibilities. His third at Ashburton to Chide and Prickles, and later a third at Geraldine to Narrative and Membo suggest that he has only to run generously to take a hand in the finish. Amor and Chickwfieat should salute the judge. They are fcnostly an unknown lot in the View Hill Trot. Reaper and Russell Pointer are a pair off the front who should race well. Great Star has been working in his best style at headquarters and he has only to start in the Flying Handicap to make matters interesting. Subdivision’s form at Riccarton was impressive, while Caterpillar has shown a lot of improvement in her latest track work. Arch Arrow and Bulolo have other engagements. but if started here Arch Arrow will be handy. However it looks like Great Star and Subdivision fighting out the finish. If reserved for the Oxford Handicap, Bulolo will be a warm favourite, and he should just about pull his supporters through. Night Effort has been expected for some time, while The Bailiff's August form suggested a race soon. Bulolo’s chances look brightest, and Night Effort may chase him home. Most of those in the Fernside Handicap have previous engagements, but if Arch Arrow starts he should not have much trouble. Mac Locanda will be a popular selection in the Ashley Trot Handicap, and Vernac may be the best of the others. At Gore. Beauty Light and Antrim Boy will monopolise the betting in the Pukerau Hurdles. The former has a habit of bobbing up on the second day, but Antrim Boy can generally be relied on. Nincompoop is reported to be in ex-

cellent order and his display over the sticks ■will be followed. Heather Lad may create a surprise. Antrim Boy appeals. Glenrowan and Sailing Home will carry big money in the Waimea Hack Handicap, but Town Major may upset calculations. He disappointed at Dunedin, but should be better for that race. Suncross looks the pick of the Mataura Trot Handicap. A nice field is engaged in the Gore Cup. Celerity 11. will be a prime fancy, but Money Mine, Narrative and Evening will all be in demand. Some Rose opened her account this season at the Birchwood meeting, and she is a nice sort. It would not surprise If she ran Celerity 11. very close for the stake. Aranoah will be all the rage in the Trial Handicap, and looks a winner. Remindful may offer most opposition. Blue Metal is nicely treated in the Flying Hack Handicap and should not be troubled. El Boa and Inevitable will also have friends. Doncliff and Larsen should show up in the Labour Day Trot. Royal Saxon and Membo are likely to race well in the Murihiku Handicap. Wayward may be the surprise, but it looks like Royal Saxon. Waikato Hunt Meeting. Big fields will contest the annual meeting of the above club. Nabob and Haeremai appeal most in the Maiden Hunters’ Steeplechase. Cali the does well in high-weight races, and he has only to start in the Ladies’ Bracelet to be hard to beat. Parfait Amour and Norval Tea have the best form of those engaged in the Bardowie Handicap. Fraser may show u; Master Roiev has only to start in the Hunters’ lurdle Handicap to give a good account of himself. Democratic, if reserved, should race well. Prodice will be a warm favourite in the Members’ Memorial Handicap. High Pitch looks next best. Awarere should see a short price in the Bollard Memorial Handicap considering his recent good showing. Takutama and Pegaway should also be close , up. The latter was brilliant last season, and his showings from now on will be interesting. Pompeius has done well over country lately and he will have hosts of friends in the Waikato Hunt Cup. Ponjola may be the best of the others. King’s Guard and Hakanoa appeal most in the Hack Handicap. At Waverley. The following horses should run well:—Te Atiawa, Airtight, Singer, Star Area, Potency, War Flame, Fernden and Annoyer. At Waipawa. Horses to follow are:—Delude. High Court, Chopin, AJaric, Sylvan Dell, Repay and Head Serang.

TROTS AT OAMARU ON MONDAY NEXT.

CUP HORSES ENGAGED. (By ‘'OBSERVER"). The Oamaru Trotting Club, which is holding its spring meeting on Monday, is forging ahead faster, perhaps, than any other in the trotting game. With its energetic and enthusiastic committee, excellent appointments and course, and good central position, the club seems destined to take a very high position in the sport, especially a? the i executive is making every endeavour

to cater for the better class of horse. Monday’s meeting has drawn fairly large, but not unwieldy fields, and with 'our Trotting Cup entrants in Roi l’Or, Author Jinks, Terence Dillon, and Quality engaged, and a number of others not far removed from this class, the standard is much ahead of that usually seen outside metropolitan areas. It seems as though this popular meeting will prove a bigger success than ever. Improvers’ Trot. The business of the day commences with a 3.42 class mile and a half for the trotters. Ambition, on scratch, was a very promising three-year-old. and Scuttle has recent winning form at New Brighton. Bon Boy, a winner at Methven, has a torrent of speed, and if he can be kept trotting steadily must be hard. Great Nelson, on 24yds, j dead heated with Great Way in the last Sires’ Produce Trotting Stakes at i Forbury and won another event the following day. If he has gone on improving it is hard to see anything to beat him. Wattle Patch is a good sort on this mark. Rustle, on 36yds, ran a great race at Methven and may again do well. Great Nelson. Wattle Patch and Rustle appear to have the best prospects. Cushla d’Or. The Trial Handicap, a 3 40 class mile and a half, has produced a field of

twenty. Nor’-Wester and Tiny Bingen are a pair on scratch with recent winning form in North Otago, and Captain Wrack is spoken of as being promising. Bingen Maid, on 24yds, is likely to show improvement, and Rafa r _ on the same mark, has plenty of speed. The back-marker, Cushla d’Or, registered 3.25 3-5 at New T3righton last Saturday, .so from the _ 48yds njjark she looks a good proposition. Raf'a and Nor’-Wester may prove the n6£t best.

A. Good Stake. f The Oamaru Handicap, a 4,32. class two* miles, carrying a stake of £7OO, has drawn a good field, including three Trotting Cup candidates in Author Jinks, Terence Dillon and Quality. Of those on scratch, Lindbergh, winner from 4.35 in the Mark Memorial Han-

dicap at Waikato, looks the pick. Lingfield i& also on' this mark and should go well. On his running at the Benefit Meeting at Addington, Travis Axworthy, on 12yds, looks to have a good chance. Dalmeny is a solid customer also on the 12yds mark.. Pluto will have a big following from 24yds, as on his best time he has some seconds to come arid go on. Harvest Child, on 36yds, is an everyday customer who rarely fails to run a solid race. The three Cup candidates, Author Jinks, Terence Dillon and Quality, are all on 72yds. They have a hard task to concede starts to the improving horses mentioned, especially as at this stage of their Cup preparations they may not be thoroughly seasorted for a solid two miles. Travis Axworthy, Pluto and Lindbergh appear likely to contest the final piece. Ten Furlongs in Saddle.

The Pukeuri Handicap is a 2.55 class mile and a quarter in saddle. Willie Wilkes, on scratch, showed up in his efforts last year and should give a fair display here, and Pleasant Wave has shown ability in saddle. Black Wattle may also be suited by the class of this event. It looks, however,.as. though the winner should come from the 24 vards division, which comprises Morning Sun, Roddy and Dilnon. The Big Sprint. There are sixteen engaged in rise Weston Handicap, which is a 2.47 class mile and a quarter, and as practically all are speedy sprinters there should be an excellent contest, as the limit is only 36 yards. Exclusive and Great Logan are useful ones on scratch/ but on the 12 3-ards mark are some good ones in Travis Axworthy, Logan Hanlon, Pluto, Talent, Glenelg, Lingfield and Jolly Pet. Harvest Child, St. Maura and Dalmeny,. on 24 yards, and Roi I’Or on 36 yards make a very fine field. If the latter jumps out smartly he will be hard to beat, but the preference is for Logan Hanlon, Travis Axworthy and Pluto. Redcastle Handicap. Cushla d’Or is again engaged in the Redcastle Handicap, and from the limit of the 3.33 class mile and a half looks a decided possibility, considering her New Brighton time and running. Nelson de Oro (48) and the Sapling winner, John Jinks, on 24 yards, should also be in the picture. The Saddle Sprinters. A good field of sprinters is carded for the Dash Handicap—a 2.17 class mile in saddle. Sylvie Logan, on scratch, will be supported in view of her New Brighton performance, but the big money is almost sure to be on the Re-. tu£n Ventage (12)—Bismurate (12) bracket, trained b}’ J. Henderson on this course. Great Triumph and Pearl Logan, on 24 yards, are well suited by this distance and the latter has won at. her last two starts, but if Marvin Mac can' stage a come-back he will beat them. Logan Hanlon is giving away 60 yards, but he has a saddle record of 2.8 4-5 and the others have only to make an error in setting the pace and he will make his presence felt.. The Return Voyage —Bismurate combination, Great Triumph and Pearl Logan appear the likely ones.
