Barnett, H. Burson, A. J. Firman. A. Dickson, F. G. Fox, F. Laws, A. J. Truman, J. B. Borthwick, G. W. Smithson, W. D. Ramsay, W. Ck>ombes, P. A. Buck, A. C. Holmes. F. E. Barrett, E. H. Healey, A. The United Club wrote informing the Centre that it had changed the scheme of the club’s colours. The new design was approved. The executive and two councillors were appointed to go into the question of the revised and re-arranged rules, and to report to the next meeting of the Centre Mr M. F. Barnett said that he considered that the Centre should have an honour’s board for past presidents. He was prepared to meet all expenses that might be incurred in the matter. Mr Barnett’s offer was accepted with thanks. Mr J. D Colville presented the Barnett Tiki to the chairman. The Tiki is for competition between Christchurch and Wellington, and is held by the club of the president of the winning centre. This year the trophy will be held by the St Albans Club. THE COMPETITIONS. In connection with the competitions, Mr W. Efford said that entries closed yesterday, but there might be further entries by mail. Twenty-four clubs had entered in the pennant competitions, providing 168 rinks; last year there had been 176 rinks. It was not known whether the Lyttelton Club would be entering or not. In the championship four rinks there were only six entries— Canterbury. Kaiapoi, Working Men’s Club, United, Sydenham. Edgeware, and Opawa. It was a question as to whether it was worth while going on with that competition. The chairman said that he had considered that the entries would have l>een much bigger in the championship rinks. It was for the Centre to decided what it intended to do in the matter. Mr Burson suggested that • they continue with the competition. " They Will be jumping over themselves to get in next year,” he added. The chairman: Linwood have entered 16 rinks in the Saturday competition and none in the championship rinks. It was suggested that further entries might vet be received. It was resolved to continue with the competition. The chairman reported that on the past two Saturdays he had visited several of the club openings. The greens were looking very good, in fact, it was seldom that he had seen them better. There was every prospect of their having a Very good season.
