WEDDING.
SQUIRE—HAY. A wedding was celebrated at the Union Methodist Church on Wednesday, when Hazel Pretoria, third daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Hay, Selwvn Street, was married to John Llewellyn, eldest son cf Mr and Mrs F. Squire, Howard Street.- The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride with pink cherry blossom an 3 spring flowers. A beautiful pink and white bell was suspended above the bridal party. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a dainty gown of shell pink georgette and lace, made with a sleeveless bodice with lace yoke and a lace skirt with flares of georgette falling in an uneven hemline. Her veil of pink net with silk embroidery was arranged in a dainty cap with orange blossom across the front She carried a shower bouquet to match. The bride was attended by three maids, Miss Dorothy Lockwood, Miss Iris Hay (sister of the bride) and Miss Gwladys Squire (sister of the bridegroom), who were attired alike in frocks of apple green crepe de chine, made with sleeveless bodices, with a wide lace bertha, being caught on the left shoulder with a long bow and sequin buckle. TTie skirts were full, falling in uneven hemlines. All wore hats of peach-coloured Baku straw, finished with velvet ribbon, and a brilliant buckle. Satin shoes and stockings to match the hats were worn. They carried shower bouquets to tone. All wore rhinestone necklaces, the gift of the .bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr D. M Ilay (brother of the bride) as best man, and by Mr F. Squire (brother of the bridegroom) as greomsman. Mrs A. Hay, mother of the bride, wore a smart navy georgette and lace frock, over which was worn a lace coat trimmed with georgette, the only ornament on her navy hat being a brilliant buckle. The bouquet was of red tulips and anemones. Mrs I. Squire wore a dress of caramel crepe satin trimmed with lace and a hat of Baku straw to tone. Her bouquet was also of red tulips and anemones. The reception was held at the Crown Masonic Hall, Wordsworth Street. When the bride left for the wedding trip to Sydney, she wore a saxe blue corded silk dress with a box-pleated skirt with cross-over bodice and grey panel in front. She carried a dove »rey coat of silk marocain strapped with bands in the same material The hat was of smart Baku straw to tone with her coat. A light fox fur was Worn, the gift of the bridegroom.
