A NEW CONTROL DIRT TRACK RACING.

At a conference of representatives of dirt-track racing companies and the New Zealand Auto-Cycle Union, held in Wellington recently, it was decided to form the New Zealand Dirt-Track Control League, consisting of representatives of the two parties at the conference.

The control of the new sport will be delegated to the league, with the exception that the A.C.U. will administer the rules of racing and partly admin ister the Riders’ Benevolent Fund. The companies now affiliated with the are Auckland Speedways, Ltd., Wellington Speedwavs, Ltd.. Stadiums Christchurch). Ltd., and Stadiums 'Dunedin), Ltd.

From the point of view of safety* special conditions relating to the dimensions of the tracks have been laid down, and the companies affiliated to the league have all complied with thes= conditions.

Any rider taking part in meetings held on tracks of companies not affiliated to the league, will consequently be liable to disqualification both in JCew Zealand and overseas.
