SURPRISE PARTY.

A surprise part)’, organised by M/s T. H. Knowles, Avonside, recently visited the residence of Mrs A. Wyatt, Lyttelton. A most enjoyable evening was spent, in games, singing and dancing. Music for the dancing was played by Miss E. Knowles and Mrs .T. Wyatt. A recitation by Mr A. Webb, and a song by Mr J. Wells, were greatly appreciated. The singing of “ Auid Lang Syne ” brought to a close a very pleasant evening. Among those present were: Mr and Mrs A. Wyatt, Mr and Mrs J. H. Knowles. Mr and Mrs A. Webb,. Misses Olga Webb, Jean Tulley, Emily Knowles, Mary Webb. Doreen, Olive and Noleen Wyatt, Esme Knowles, Messrs Jack Wvatt, Roy Webb, Norman Scott, Neal Webb, Jimmy Westlake, Edgar Marshall, Francis Stechyman, O. Ritchie, Fred Coleman, Norman Tulley, Hector M’Donald and J. Wells.
