HAD FAINTING TURN ON EXPRESS TRAIN, AND WAS KILLED.

Per Press Association. WAIM ATE, October 11. At the inquest before the Coroner (Mr George Dash) concerning the death of Mrs P. D. Leahy, who fell from the express train near St Andrew’s October 5, the evidence showed that deceased felt sick and went out to the plat form for fresh air. The platform gates were closed previously, but when approaching St Andrew’s Mrs Leahy was seen to be leaning out with a hand kerchief to her mouth. Presumably she opened the gate to be sick and. as she had been suffering from faint turns recently, apparently she fainted just past St Andrew’s, falling out on to her head, and fracturing the skull and dying within a minute of the arrival of the station officer.

A verdict of accidental death was returned.
