S.O.S. CALL IS HEARD AT AWARUA.
ALL STATIONS ORDERED TO KEEP LOOK-OUT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 10 The Secretary of the General Post Office has received the following information from the superintendent. Radio, Awarua: “At 7.50 p.m. a station on CW strength 4 sent ‘S.O.S. C.Q.’ once. Nothing heard since. All stations were released at 9 p.m. with instructions to keep a sharp look out.”
