LONDON, September 26. P. G. H. Fender, writing in “The Star," suggests that Jack Hobbs, the famous cricketer, should receive a knighthood for his “public services.” It asks why Hobbs, Rhodes and Wool ley should not join Sir Frederick Toone, who was knighted after he had managed the recent M.C.C. tour of Australia. “Presumably if Dr Grace were alive to-day he would be raised to the peerage with the title of ‘Lord of Lord's.' ”
