BY-LAW CASES.
(Before Mr E. C. Lewev, S.M.) WITHOUT LIGHTS. Y Samuel Halligan, jnr., was fined 20s and costs for driving a motor-car without headlights, and 10s and costs for not having a tail-light. Albert John Williams-Loader, for parking a motor-car without lights, was fined 10s and costs. On a similar charge, Eric George Moor was fined 10s and costs. James M’lntyre was fined 10s and costs, and Robert Neville costs only for cycling at night without lights. William George Thomson was fined 20s and costs for driving a motor-cycle at night without lights, 10s and costs for not having a tail-light, and 10s and costs for not having the prescribed number plates. John Francis Monkman was fined 10s and costs for not having a tail-light on his motor-car. CUT A CORNER. Catherine Donohue, for cutting a corner, was fined 20s and costs. CAR LEFT. William Boyd was convicted and ordered to pay costs for leaving a motor-car parked over the time limit. ON FOOTPATH. John William Clarke, for cycling on the footpath, was fined 10s and costs. BREACH OF ACT. Walter Donald Mitchell was conv'oted and ordered to pay costs for a t>reach of the Motor Vehicles Act. He was similarly dealt with for being an unlicensed driver. On similar charges, Harvey M’Callum was convicted and ordered to pay costs. NO LICENSE. Peter M’Arthur, for being an unlicensed motor-driver, was fined 20s and costs. SPEEDING. Norton Hadfield (Mr Tracy) was fined £2 and costs for speeding, and was similarly fined for failing to give way to traffic on the right. Reginald James Mitchell (Mr Lee) was fined 20s and costs for speeding. NEGLIGENT DRIVING. Garfield James Wheeler (Mr Cuningham) was fined 10s and costs for negligent driving, and 10s and costs on charges of not having headlights and a tail-light. Norman Eric Neill, for negligent driving, was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Phyllis Armour Newth was fined 20s and costs for dangerous driving, and 20s and costs for being an unlicensed driver. FAILED TO GIVE WAY. Arthur Samuel Wakelin (Mr Russell) was fined £2 and costs for failing to give way to traffic on the right.
