TWO MEN AWAIT TRIAL IN DUNEDIN CASES

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 7. Cyril Patrick Lawless and TheobQlci Matthew Stephen Lawless, charged with carnally knowing girls over the age of twelve years and under sixteen years, pleaded not guilty and were committed for trial. Th 6 two girls concerned in the charges and another gave evidence as to the offence, which it is alleged took place in a crib at Tomahawk. With regard to one of the witnesses, the Magistrate remarked that he had never come across a more brazen little girl. A similar charge in respect to one girl against Hemi Wewi Notini is proceeding.
