THE DOGS’ DAY.—The annual dog kennel sports at the Bell Mead Kennels at Haslemere, Surrey, owned by Miss J. Trefusis Forbes, proved the remarkable intelligence of canine breeds, the dogs themselves thoroughly enjoying the sports as well as the kennel maids and onlookers. The final of the Flat Race in which fox terrier, Cocker spaniel, Bassett hound and Dandy Dinmont terrier participated. The Bassett hound proved the winner, as may he seen from the picture.
