Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 6. I Further details were given in Court to-day in regard to the cases of Josep Peliks, and Josep Crawcow, Polish Jews, charged with absconding from Australia with a view to avoiding the pay- : ment of debts. The Chief-Detective produced a cable from Melbourne, stating that the debts totalled £ISOO and that the general conduct of the accused indicated systematic fraud. The Magistrate (Mr Page) said that the accused were arrested as fugitive i offenders, and it would appear that they would have to be sent back to ; Australia under escort. On the facts at present, he was not prepared to admit them to bail. 1
