FRIESIAN BREED STILL MAINTAINS ITS LEAD IN BUTTERFAT PRODUCTION.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 5. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Friesian Association, the chairman (Mr Marchant) stated that the total membership was 703. He asserted that the Friesian breed still maintained its lead over all other breeds in hutterfat production. The balance-sheet showed a loss of £B7O, but £250 of this loss was accounted for by the Easter holidays beginning before the end of the financial Officers were elected as follows:President. Mr H. J. Marchant; vicepresidents. Major Wilson and Mr E M. North; members of the Council, Messrs Banks, Eades. Royds and Major Wilson; auditor, Mr Revell.
