PROGRESS LEAGUE ELECTS COMMITTEES.

The first meeting of the newly-elected executive of the Canterbury Progress League was held last evening when Kir J. A. Flesher presided over a large attendance of members. Wyles; Agricultural Research— Messrs G. 11. Ilolford (convener), J. E. Strachan, E. Freeman, G. 11. Judd. H. L. Darton, J. O. Coop and E. S. Taylor; Publicity and Tourist—Messrs C. H. Clibborn (convener), G. 11. Holford, F. W. Johnston, M. W. Stevenson, C. H. Burson, T. M. Charters, B. Falck, FI. W Heslop and G. Maginness; Telephones —Messrs C. 11. Clibborn, 11. W. Heslop, J. E. Strachan, G. M. Hall, and W. K. M’Alpine. The president and vice-pre-sident (Mr James Carr) are ex-officio members of all committees.
