DUNEDIN, July 4. Sales Reported.—Perpetual Trustees 68s; Bank of New Zealand 61s 6d. S.S. TAHITI HITS RESP. WELLINGTON, July 4. On entering Papeete Harbour on June 22 the Tahiti struck one of the numerous coral reefs, and suffered minor damage to her hull on the port side in the vicinity of No. S hold. On the rest of the passage to Wellington the pumps were kept going to keep down any water she was making. A diver made an inspection of the damaged portion of the hull on Tuesday morning, and a start was made to effect the necessary repairs. The work ha-" necessitated a delay of another hours in Wellington, l»ut it is anticipated that the vessel will be abb to leave for Sydney at six ■•• I >eV CO-niffht. When her cargo is discharged there the Tahiti will be dry-docked.
