MOTION TO STAY CABLE MERGER DISMISSED IN COURT.

(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received June 18, 11:30 a.m.) LONDON, June 17. Mr Justice Clauston, in the Chancery Division, dismissed the Venture Trust’s motion to restrain the cable merger.

On May 30 a cable said: The Venture Trust, Limited, representing a group of holders of the Marconi Telegraph Co.’s £1 shares, has issued a writ, returnable in eight days, for an injunction to restrain Marconi’s from joining the wireless and cable merger.
