CHRISTCHURCH. (Before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. For drunkenness, Mary Ann Windsor was fined 20s and costs, in default seven days’ imprisonment. A REMAND. Knight and Co., of Christchurch, advertising agents (Mr Bowie) claimed the sum of £l4 15s from E. Bolland, of Christchurch, a canvasser. The statement read as follows:—(1) Moneys of the. plaintiff fraudulently converted by the defendant to his own use on divers dates, totalling £2 15s; (2; on divers occasions in 1929 the defendant fraudulently represented that he had obtained contracts for the company whereby damage amounting to £l2 was suffered.

The defendant counterclaimed for £lo 12s as balance of wages allegedly due to him.

After hearing the evidence the Magistrate. gave judgment for the plaintiff for the full amount, plus costs.
