HERTZOG HAS MAJORITY OF 18.
EVERY AFRIKANDER AGGRIEVED AT CONDUCT OF CERTAIN OPPONENTS. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.* CAPE TOWN, June 13. Including the supporters of Colonel F. H. Creswell, General Hertzog will command a majority of eighteen, and including the supporters of the National Council of Labour, whose utterances show a desire to associate with him, he has a majority of twenty-six. General Hertzog’s message to his supporters refers to the glorious victory, and to their memorable services to South Africa. He stated that every Afrikander was deeply aggrieved at certain manifestations and conduct apparent on the side of their opponents, which he asked them never to forget. Disaffected diamond diggers have returned their district surgeon as an Independent Nationalist. —Australian Press Association.
