FRENCH TROOPS BESIEGED BY 2000 HILLSMEN.

AEROPLANES DROPPING 600 BOMBS A DAY ON MOROCCAN REBELS. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received June 14, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 13. A message from Rabat (Morocco) states that 300 troops are still besieged at Fort Aityakoub by a force of 2000 hillsmen, who are persisting in the attack despite the fact that squadrons of French aeroplanes are dropping 600 bombs daily. A party of friendly Moors took the attackers in the flanks and the rear, killing thirty-five. So far the raiders have evaded contact with the Foreign Legionnaires, who are advancing over an eighteen-mile front. There are no signs of the insurrection spreading.—Australian Press Association.
