N.Z. MUSIC STUDENT RETURNS FROM VIENNA.
SAYS FEES ARE LOW AND COST OF LIVING IS SMALL THERE. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received June 14, 9,30 a.m.) SYDNEY, June 14. Miss Imelda Kama, of Wellington, New Zealand, who returned by the Maloja gave her impressions of music it} Vienna. She has completed five years’ study of the piano under Professor Wuhrer and she is now returning to New Zealand by the Maunganui. She said: “ I consider Vienna the best place in the world for the study of the piano. Fees are not excessive and the cost of Ijving is small." She was greatly impressed by the Philharmonic .Orchestra in Vienna. The people there patronised operatic and orchestral institutions in a way that put the people of British countries shame. Some of the poorer people would rather go without a meal than miss a concert. Miss Kama gave an independent recital before leaving Vienna and was well received.—Australian Press Association. -
