WOMAN MAKES BEQUESTS TOTALLING £SOOO.
Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N„ May 30. Under the will of the late Mrs Marv Elizabeth Chowen, of Palmerston North a bequest of £IOOO is made to the Building and Finance Committee of the Palmerston North Baptist Church to augment the building fund and other gen eral trust purposes as the committee thinks fit. The sum of £IOOO is left to the Cuba Street Methodist Church for the installation of a pipe organ,' the erection of a tower, and the liquidation of any remaining debt on the church property, subject to a life interest bv o. foster-daughter. Deceased also bequeaths £IOOO each to the Presbyterian Girls’ Orphanage at Wellington, the Methodist Orphanage at Master ton, and the Jubilee Institute for the Blind at Auckland.
