FUNERAL.
LATE MR ROBERT BRAKE. The funeral of the late Mr Robert Brake left his residence, 8, Church Street, Upper Riccarton, on Monday afternoon for the Riccarton Churchyard. The deceased was a resident of Riccarton for over sixty years. He arrived in Lyttelton in 1859 by the Clontarf. The service was conducted by the Rev 11. T. York, and the bearers were Messrs J. M’Cormack, Walter Lake, Willie Lake and Wilfred Holmes. Floral tributes were received from:— Vestry of St Peter’s, Riccarton, Mr and Mrs J. Hanson, Mr and Mrs E. Turner, Madge, Luce, Jean and Jack, Mr Lambert Bowen, Miss Lily Bowen, Sir Henry and Lady Wigram, Alice and Ern, Mr George Murray-Ayns-ley, Miss H. M. B. Wilson, Mr A. Freeman and family, Miss Budge, Mr and . Mrs Alec Davidson, Mrs Knott and Mrs Allison, Mrs Bufton and Charlotte, officers of Lands and Survey Department, manager and staff of South British Insurance Company.
