The Mayor of Riccarton (Mr IT. S. S. Kvle, M.P.) and Mrs Kyle, and members of the Riccarton Borough Council, attended St James’s Anglican Church, Riccarton, yesterday morning. The Rev R. de Lambert was the preacher. The mild conditions prevailing at Sumner yesterday attracted a lar£e number of visitors. Early in the afternoon the parking areas at Scarborough and near Cave Rock were througed with motor-cars which arrived in a long closely-formed procession. The newlysown areas of grass lawns were looking at their best, and were very favourablycommented upon. Many of the cars did not leave till well after four o’clock.
