TOWN PLANNING ACT WILL BE AMENDED.

Per Pr«u Association. DUNEDIN, January 31. According to a statement by the Hon P. A. de la Perrelle, there is likely to be some amendment to the Town Planning Act giving local authorities wider powers to control developments within their areas. One matter under consideration, he said, was further facilities for co-operation between local bodies over an area sufficiently wide to ensure proper planning and co-ordinating prior to the preparation of separate town planning schemes.
