BIG PROPERTY DEALS MADE IN CITY.

An indication of the rapid rise that has taken place in property values in Armagh Street, between Colombo and Manchester Streets, is afforded by the sale of a block of three shops at a price of £12,500 or £242- a foot. The property, which has a frontage of 52 feet to Armagh Street and 38 feet to Oxford Terrace, has been occupied by Mrs A. Ellwood, second-hand clothier. About two months ago it was sold by Mr T. A. Flesher to Mr Percy Nicholls for £IO.OOO and Mr A. V. Whitta has now bought it from Mr Nicholls at an advance of £2500. Another block of shops in the south side of Armagh Street recently changed hands at a price of £IO,OOO.
