COUNCIL ADHERES TO OLD SPREYDON BY-LAW.
The By-laws Committee of the City Council has had under consideration the advisability of repealing the old Spreydon by-law relating to the me. and frontage of building sites in that district. and recently communicated with the Spreydon Burgesses' Aalocia. tion regarding the matter. The committee reported to the coun. cil last night that a reply has been received to the effect that the anodation was of opinion that all sections on fur. ther subdivisions in Spreydon should have a 50ft frontage. The Inc Sprey. don by-law provided for a 50ft front. age with an area of 30 perches in all new subdivisions. with the exception that sections in certain nemed streets which had been l-id out and formed prior to the by-law coming into {me should have 441': frontage and m perches, or if the area wu 40 pouches the frontage could be reduced to Wt. The committee was of opinion thoc the suggestion by the Spreydol DW‘ Association would cmte [not hardship and recommended the can-ell to adhere to the old Spreydon by-luu ... ii" force.
