ELLERSLIE NOTES. ‘ Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 18. I The course proper. twenty-five feet ‘out. was available for fast work at El]lerslie this morning. The No. 3 grass track was also used for a few gallops. The weather was fine and the going good King Emerald and Eager Rose did ‘seven furlongs in Imin 33 4«ssec, the liormer going better. Sir Russell and Lomint were on terms after six furlongs run in Imin 18 2-55ec. Gold Money did seven alone in Imin 33 2-ssec. ReSpirator did four in 54 2-ssec. 1 Miss Myrtle was in front of Valsier and Brampton over seven furlongs run lin Imin 34 2-55ec. . Palmares beat War Officer over five in Imin 5 2‘ssec. Sleepy Sol easily accounted for Bayly Damon over four in 54. Sir Archie defeated Star Dance over a similar- distance in 51 2—sseC. Norval Tea and Desert Song did half a mile in 51 2~55cc, the latter pleasing. . Jolly Money was just ahead of Sir Mond in five in Imin ssec. Corinax, Perception, and Thursby started slowly from the mile post, run—ning the first half in 55 l-ssec, the last in 54lsec. Corinax was going best. Perception also pleased. Hyde Park and Modest Boy finished together over a mile, the last seven taking Imin 35sec, Golden Wedding ran seven in Imin 31 26sec, the best of morning over that distance. Winsome Boy did four in 52 2—ssec. Vallar gave Bombarder a start and beating over six in Imin 23 2-ssec. Vertigern ran six in Imin 20 I»ssec, going well. Royal Flower took Imin 6 16550 over a furlong less. Gold Finger jumped off in front of the five furlong post, running the last four in 51 255ec. ‘ Gemlight and Praetor took 50 3-ssec. for half a mile, the former pleasing. ‘ Good Boy did {our in 51 4-ssec. All these gallops were on the course proper. Hoylake and Talisker ran a mile in Imin 45 3-ssec, being together all the way.
