Questions In House. (Received December 18, 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY, December 17. In view of the fact that the General Election will take place some time next year, statements have been current that the Imperial Conference, which ordinarily would be held in 1929, might be postponed until 1930. Questioned on this, Mr L. C. M. S. Amery, Secretary for the Dominions, stated that the date of the next Imperial Conference had not yet been settled. Mr Amery, when asked about the nature of the claim regarding the Red Sea concessions, replied that before the war the Turkish Government were alleged to have granted to certain subjects a concession for the extraction of certain substance from the waters of the Red Sea. From time to time the British Government had had requests to recognise this concession, the most recent being from a French company who were to have acquired an interest at a comparatively recent date. The British Government were advised that they were under no legal obligation to grant the Turkish concession.
