There is considerable anxiety regarding the fate of John Smith, the British ’Consul at Amoy. It is supposed that he left Shanghai on the vessel Ghinhai for Amoy. It is now reported that he is not aboard. Surgeon-Lieutenant Scott, stationed on Cricket, has been missing since Friday. He attended a party at a local cabaret and has not been seen since.—United Service.
