RAILWAYS MANAGER WILL VISIT CITY.

Mr 11. 11. Sterling, General Manager of the Railways, has written to the Canterbury Progress League, stating that he regrets that he has not been able to visit the South Island before this date, but that he will come to Christchurch at the earliest possible time, to confer with the league in regard to increased shed accommodation and the handling of goods. “ I appreciate the desirableness of meeting your people on this question, and as soon as I can get away I shall do so,” Mr Sterling wrote.
