CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL AT LINWOOD AVENUE SCHOOL.
The many attractions at the carnival, to be opened by the Mayor (the Rev J. K. Archer), at the Linwood Avenue School to-morrow, should ensure a large attendance of the general public. It is confidently anticipated that the school funds will be considerably augmented by the many and varied stalls and side-shows which will be open for business. To-morrow’s programme will begin with a parade of decorative pramettes, tricycles and bicycles. A Baby Show for babies under six months will be held. At three o’clock, Father Christmas, Mother Christmas, and Baby Christmas will pay a visit to the carnival. On Saturday afternoon a fancy dress dance for children will be held. A Baby Show for babies under twelve months and for babies under eighteen months will be an additional attraction. Special orchestras for jazzing are engaged for each evening. Derry’s Band will also be in attendance.
