GOOD RACING AT EVENING AMATEUR ATHLETIC MEETING.
Another of the series of evening- meetings under the auspices of the Canterbury Centime of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was conducted at 'English Park yesterday by the Varsity Club. The attendance was good, and, generally speaking, the standard of the sport was high. Several of the younger runners showed good promise. In conjunction with the flat events, a half-mile cycle race was conducted by the Christchurch Amateur Cycling Club. Following are the results:— 220yds Handicap (first class)—First heat: H.
