YOUNG AMERICAN GIRLS SWIM ACROSS BOSPHORUS.

(Special to the “Star.”) CONSTANTINOPLE, October 3. Three girl students of the College for Girls at Arnaoutkeuy, on the Bosphorous—Cynthia Binns, Caroline Goodsell and Heather Tompkins —swam across the Bosphorous yesterday morning at one of the widest parts. The strait varies in width from one mile to one and a half miles. Leaving Selvi Bournou, on the Asiatic side, they landed in front of the German Embassy at Therapia on the European side in 2S minutes, despite tricky currents. They are all under 18.
