NEW ELECTORAL BILL BEFORE N.S.W. ASSEMBLY.

(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received December 5, 8.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 5. The new Electoral Bill providing for the redistribution of electorates is now before the Legislative Assembly. The Sydney metropolitan area is to have forty-three seats, the Newcastle area five seats and the country area fortytwo seats. Each metropolitan electorate is to have about 20,000 electors and each country electorate approximately ILOOO. Consequently the balance of voting power in favour of the country electorates will be nearly 50 per cent. — Australian Press Association.
