SURF CLUB MEMBERS ASSIST SWIMMERS.

(Special to the “Star.”) WELLINGTON, December 3.

Members of the Lyall Bay and Maranui Surf Clubs gave assistance yesterday to three swimmers outside the linn of breakers. A lady had to be helped ashore at Lyall Bay. and later another at Maranui Finally, while the Maranui’s surf boat was cruising beyond the breakers, it came on a male swimmer unable to get back, and landed him safely.
