“We know there is a power in the body—what it is we do not yet know—which can, in favourable circumstances, cure cancer even when the surgeon’s knife has failed. That is a very hopeful feature.” This statement was made by Dr F. W. Enrich at a meeting in connection with the Bradford Cancer Week. Dr Enrich instanced a proposed operation upon a woman for cancer, where it was found that there were literally hundreds of tumors all over her body. The surgeon, therefore sewed the body up again without operating. And the woman recovered. No X-rays were applied; no medicine was given; she did not alter her diet in any way; no prayers were said over her. Four years later she was operated upon again for an obstruction, and it was then found that all the old tumours had disappeared. In that case the body fought against- and- killed the cancer enemy.
