Dittmer, N.Z.S.C.. adjutant First Battalion Waikato Regiment, has been appointed staff officer in charge of the No. 2 regimental district at Paeroa, in place of Captain Goss, who left for England last month. I Mrs New bride (telephoning) : “ I’m afraid you sent me ducks’ eggs this morning instead of hens’ eggs.” Grocer: “ Ducks’ eggs, ma’am ! I don’t keep rtiirks’ eees.” “ But I tested them. I i dropped them in water, and they floated.”
