A stout-looking boat had been offered for sale by auction on the beach, and the visitor expressed surprise when no bid was made. “ Tain t the boat, sir, ” exclaimed a local boatman. “ She’s sound enough, an’ all that, but she’s sich a hawful pedigree. ” “ A boat with a pedigree! ” gasped the visitor. “I never heard of such a thing.” “ Well, you sees one now, ” was the reply. “ She’s droonded two visitors an' bankrupted three owners. That’s her pedigree ”
