MEETING OF CABINET HELD AT WELLINGTON.

(Special to the “Star.”) WELLINGTON, November 17. All members of the Government have reached Wellington and a Cabinet meeting was held to-day. It no doubt discussed the electoral position, but no decision regarding the Prime Minister’s plans can be possible until the electoral position is settled by the returning officers’ final declarations. Meanwhile, all Ministers, defeated or otherwise, hold office and will continue to do so until their resignations are accepted. This would not occur until the Governor-General is in a position to send for an elected member, who is in a position to form a Cabinet from the new House of Representatives.
