A MISMANAGED MEETING.

-To til© Editor. Dear Sir,—ln your issue of the “Star” and “Times” of the 14th inst. your sports reporter, in reporting the evening meeting run by the Technical Old Boys, stated that the meeting was spoilt through mismanagement and the absence of a starter. He apparently attributed the cause of this to my club. I may state that the Canterbury Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A. appoints a set of permanent officials to run the evening meetings, and not the clubs, and that the starter turned up without his gun. It behoves your reporter to first ascertain the true facts concerning the meeting before he rushes into print and his time would be better occupied in reporting the whole programme of the meeting instead of criticising the club. —I am, etc., * C. SANDERSON, Honorary Secretary.
