FRACAS AT LYTTELTON. A nasty fracas took place in a hotel at Lyttelton between a number of firemen and the police this afternoon. The encounter was a furious one, and the police were cornered. By using their handcuffs on the heads of their opponents they were able to keep them at bay for a while until further police came to their assistance. One man was arrested, but the others escaped.
