HILARIOUS SITUATIONS ARE PICTURED AT MUNICIPAL HALL.
Harold Lloyd and Richard Dix are rivals as the world’s greatest funmakers, and when they both appear on the same programme nothing more could be desired. “ The Kid Brother " and “ Sporting Goods ” are two rollicking comedies, now being shown at the Municipal Theatre. The musical side of the programme has been well attended to. Harold Lloyd has maintained his distinction in an age of slapstick by producing another legitimate comedy with a dramatic theme. The story is simple yet forceful. Mistaken identity is the motif of “ Sporting Goods." Richard Dix, as a travelling golf-suit salesman, is mistaken for a millionaire, is plunged into all kinds of trouble and forced to m*ike good to win a rich girl. The picture fcontains a number of hilarious situations, including an extraordinary poker game. Ford Sterling, the famous comic policeman, is one of Dix’s supporters.
