AUCKLAND PEDESTRIAN GETS COMPENSATION.

Psr Press Association. AUCKLAND, November 16. Arising out of a collision at a street intersection between an oil motor waggon and a light truck, a jury in the Supreme Court awarded £750 general damages and £l2 medical expenses to an elderly man, Edward Campton, against the Vacuum Oil Company. Campton was crossing the street when the collision occurred, and was seriously injured through being struck by the wreckage of the light truck. It was held that the driver of the oil waggon was negligent, the contention being that as the other vehicle w r as approaching from the right he should have given way to it.
